A successful junior golf program is vitally important for the future financial stability of any golf operation.
Golf Professionals have a golden opportunity to create recurring business by creating fun and enjoyable junior golf programs. This new business will be seen inside the golf shop, within adult and junior tournaments, on the lesson tee, and in the dining facilities for years to come.

I had the privilege of teaching Regan Furr (right) for a month in March 2019. He enjoyed our meetings so much that his parents asked if we could continue lessons every week moving forward. Regan enjoyed golf so much that he was even talking about our fun times at home non-stop! This drove his father to get fit for a new set of irons. His younger brother Thomas (left) wanted in on the action, so we started including him a few months later. Their whole family of 8 now enjoys dinner at the club every Tuesday after Regan and Thomas' golf lesson.

In my professional opinion juniors are receiving a disservice if motor skill and mobility development is not included in their junior golf programming. Juniors should continually focus on balance, running, jumping, kicking, throwing, etc.Â
As a junior, becoming an athlete and generating the skill sets necessary to be successful and competitive at any sport is more important than a fundamentally sound golf swing. These skills, if trained properly, will exponentially increase the juniors golfing ability along the way.
As a TPI certified professional I carry the knowledge to develop these skills properly.
